Pets in The classroom?
What do you think about having a classroom pet? I love animals and I always found having a class pet was very enjoyable and also very educational. It taught responsibility because we would have to feed or water the pet (We had mice) and you can also do experiments on them! Like you can feed a mouse one type of food and drink and another a different food and drink, this can teach the scientific theory. Here are some more ideas on having a classroom pet, http://www.petsintheclassroom.org/teachers/benefits-of-classroom-animals/

Teaching kids fractions
This is a neat way of teaching kids how to do fractions, probably 4th grade and less. All you have to do is have the kids cut out a giant cupcake with colored paper. Then either have them draw different toppings on or use a hole puncher and punch out different colors of paper and have the kids glue them on top of their cupcake. For example, 6/10 of the sprinkles are blue, 3/10 of the sprinkles are orange, 1/10 of the sprinkles are purple. I think it would be neat to also try maybe a pizza and use different toppings they can draw, cut out, and glue on! --- idea from http://theteacherscauldron.blogspot.com/2012/04/cupcake-fractions.html
